Sendi is a fintech platform that allows UK-based users to send money instantly to family and loved ones abroad. We offer both "Pay Now" and "Send Now, Pay Later" (SNPL) remittance options.
2. How does 'Send Now, Pay Later' work?
With SNPL, you can send money home immediately even if you don't have enough funds at the moment. You simply choose the amount, select "Pay Later," and repay in 2–6 weeks. Credit terms depend on your credit profile.
3. Which countries can I send money to?
Currently, Sendi supports remittances to:
- Ghana
- Nigeria
- India
- Pakistan
- Bangladesh
- The Philippines
More corridors will be added soon.
4. How much does it cost to send money?
- Pay Now option: No fees.
- SNPL option: Flat fee of 2%–6% depending on the amount, repayment duration, and credit profile.
There are no hidden fees or prepayment penalties.
5. Who underwrites the SNPL credit?
Sendi acts as a credit broker. The loan is underwritten by our licensed lending partner, and the remittance is processed through Sendi's platform.
6. Am I eligible to use SNPL?
You must be:
- 18 or older
- A UK resident
- Employed or have a steady income
Credit eligibility is determined using open banking and soft credit checks.
7. How do repayments work?
You can repay manually or set up automatic repayments via direct debit. We'll notify you before any payment is due, and you'll be able to see your full repayment schedule in the app.
8. Is my data safe?
Yes. We are fully GDPR-compliant and use bank-grade encryption, secure authentication, and regular system audits to keep your data protected.
9. How long does it take for the recipient to get the money?
Transfers are typically delivered within minutes to supported mobile wallets or bank accounts.
10. What happens if I can't repay on time?
If you're having trouble repaying, contact us early. We offer flexible repayment support. Missed payments may impact your credit and affect future use of SNPL.
11. Is Sendi regulated?
Yes. Sendi is applying for authorisation by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as a payment institution and operates in compliance with UK financial regulations.
12. Can I cancel a transaction?
"Pay Now" transactions are typically instant and may not be reversible. For SNPL, you may cancel prior to disbursement. Contact support for urgent issues.
